ELSAH, IL – The Brescia University women's soccer team picked up their second win of the season against Division III opponent, Principia College, 1-0. This is the first time (since digital stats started in 2003) that the BU women's soccer program has beaten a division III team.
The Bearcats put up an egregious number of shots as they outshot the Panthers 26-8 in match. With only 10 of those on goal, the Bearcats were finally able to put one in the net in the 87th minute. Isabella McChessney erased the tie as she chipped a ball in off a deflected save by the Panthers' goalie.
Ashby Greenwell grabbed four saves in net for the Bearcats as she gets her second win of the year.
The Bearcats travel to Campbellsville, KY to take on the Campbellsville Tigers this coming Tuesday (Sep. 17th) at 4pm CT.
