CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Brescia University men's soccer team grabbed their first win of the season as they defeated Ohio Christian, 2-1. The Bearcats improve to 1-6 on the season and 1-1 in RSC play.
The Bearcats were able to score their first goal within 17 minutes of play off the foot of Ezekiel Isom for his first goal of the year. The next 70 minutes of the match would initially show the Bearcats grabbing the road win, but the Trailblazers would notch a last-minute goal in the 87th minute to tie the score. After the OCU goal, Adam Byzdra would dribble the ball down field and shoot a ball to net his first goal of the season not even 10 seconds later for the game-winning goal.
Finn Martin would get his first win in the net for the Bearcats as he grabbed four saves with just one goal against him.
The Bearcats take the field again this coming Saturday, September 30 against WVU Tech at home.
