Red Wolves Top Bearcats in 2-0 Loss

OWENSBORO, KY – In the third conference matchup of the season, the women's soccer team struggled against the Red Wolves as they fall to 1-2 in RSC play. IU East scored their first two goals in the first half as the Bearcats never allowed another in the 2-0 finish.

The first goal of the match came in exactly the 4^th minute of the match. A well-placed ball on the right wing gave way for a cross into the box that allowed the Red Wolves' first goal of the match. The Bearcats had a chance to even it up just minutes later as a shot by Maci Uffelman sneaks just to left of the goal. The Red Wolves' second goal happened in the 10^th minute in the same fashion as the first. The Bearcats tripled their shots in the second half but couldn't find the back of the net as IUE walks away with the 2-0 win.

Ashby Greenwell picked up her sixth loss in the net to total her record to 3-6 on the year.

The Bearcats head to Midway, KY to take on the Eagles this Saturday, Oct. 12, with a kickoff time of 11am CT.
