Scary Weekend for the Bearcat Golf Team

BU Golf participated in the KWC Fall Invite held at the Pearl Club at the Summitt this Halloween Weekend. Tough conditions, especially on Saturday, played tough for the Bearcat Golf Teams as the ladies finished 4th out of the 6 team field. Brooklyn Spicer braved the elements to an 8th place finish with scores of 79/83. Coach Cox is quoted " Brooklyn has a lot to be proud of, she fought through a few lingering injuries along with tough conditions for her shows how tough she is mentally. Being a shorter hitter on cold, wet, golf course she displayed her talents on and around the greens with skill".

The Mens Team also played as well and finished 8th and 11th in the 12 team field. The Men's team was lead with scores of 79/76 by Aidan Cassidy playing as an individual. "Aidan has alot to be proud of, despite not hitting the ball very well his short game was on full display as he managed to shooting 11 over for the two days, finishing in a tie for 25th."

Brooklyn and the rest of the Bearcats will be taking some time off from competitve golf till next semester with some deserved rest. She is a part of a golf class that has 7 players being done in April with their competitive golf career in college. As they finish this semester, they know that preperations and adjustments in their games to get ready for their last run as Bearcat Golfers.
