Women's Golf Claim 2020 KWC Fall Invite

Owensboro, KY--- Both the BU Golf Teams were in action this week at the KWC Fall Invite at the Pearl Club at the Summit. This one was all about the girls as Emily Lyons took medalist honors with a 87/78 finish in the cold and windy conditions this week. Coach Cox is quoted as "Great to see the girls bounce back after the brutal conditions after day one, make the proper adjustments, and fend off in town rival KWC in their fall match up with them. I know they are proud to come out on top, and end their fall season on a positive note. They are on the verge of playing some really good golf, and I am super proud of how they have played this whole semester. It is now time to reflect and get to work in the off season for next spring."

The men struggled to a 3rd place finish in the four team field. All thirteen players got to play, and were simply not able to make the adjustments to play golf that they are capable of, as the course and competition were too much for them this week." They simply did not have it mentally and were not able to adjust to the difficult conditions despite it being a home match" says Coach Cox. They got thumped on their home track by two quality teams, now they have the rest of the fall and spring to learn from the mistakes of this fall and apply it to the spring season.

Congratulations to Emily Lyons for bringing home her first individual title along with the team title as well.
