FULTON, MO. – The Brescia University men's soccer team falls to William Woods, 7-1. The Bearcats drop to 0-3 on the season as their difficult schedule continues to challenge them.
BU traveled to Fulton, Mo. this past weekend where they picked up their third loss of the season. The Owls would start their high scoring half with a penalty kick that was saved by Chase Garrett. The shot was then waved off as Garrett came off his line early calling for a re-kick of the penalty shot in which the Owls buried in the top corner of the goal. With the 1-0 deficit, the Bearcats struggled to keep the Owls' offense at bay as William Woods would tack on two more goals by half. WWU continued their barrage of goals until Ezekiel Isom would score the one and only goal for the Bearcats in the 62nd minute. BU could not hold off the Owls as they drop the contest 7-1.
Chase Garrett falls to 0-2 on the season in the net for the Bearcats as he relinquishes six goals on four saves.
The Bearcats return to the pitch this Wednesday Sep. 6 for an exhibition match at cross-town rival, Kentucky Wesleyan with a 7pm kickoff time.
