Godsey Leads Bearcats At Mirimichi

The Brescia University Men's Golf Team competed in the Rhodes College Spring Invitational held at Mirimichi Golf Club in Millington TN over the weekend. The Bearcats were led by Matthew Godsey with scores of 74/86/76. The Mirimichi course was too much for the Bearcats to handle being the only NAIA school participating as they finished 12th in the event.

The team had a rough week leading into the tournament and has overcome a lot of obstacles. With the Conference championship to be held next week, there is little time to dwell on the past week's performance. Coach Cox is quoted" the boys have to press control, alt, delete and move on from this one. They got knocked around pretty good by a lot of quality teams over the weekend. They have to refocus and make preparations for the Conference Championship now."

Other Bearcats that competed were Aaron Munger who finished one behind Godsey with scores of 81,75,81. Ryan Howard 79,81,83. Dakota Jones 80,84,87. Jordan Baer 83,86,85. Adam Schneller who was a BU Baseball player two years ago makes it through to qualify for his last event as a Bearcat by posting rounds of 85,82,91.
