Men's Basketball Falls to Point Park, 94-68

As the Bearcats take on the 16-1 Pioneers, Point Park would get the scoring started with a tough jumper outside the paint. Taeron Hogg would start off his best shooting game with a fast break dunk under the basket. Hogg would take the lead for the Bearcats on the very next possession as he nails a three-ball over a defender. Both teams would trade baskets until the Bearcats would struggle to find the net as BU would go on a two-minute scoring drought. Down by 11 with seven minutes left in the first, Cory Gardner would break the silence with a pullup jumper just inside the arc. The Bearcats continued to struggle to stop the Pioneers as the minutes tick down until half where Point Park held a 14-point lead.

The first half struggles continued into the second half for the Bearcats as the Pioneers continued to stretch their lead. Taeron Hogg would turn the scoring up for BU in the second half as he attempted to keep the team in contention. Unfortunately, the Pioneers would come away with the win with a final score of 94-68.

Taeron Hogg led the team with 30 points which places him third in the record book in single game scoring; he also adds nine rebounds to his stat line. Cory Gardner followed behind with 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists. 

The Bearcats will travel to Rio Grande, OH to take on the #2 team in conference, the Rio Grande Red Storm, this Thursday with a tip-off time of 6:30 pm CT.
