BEARCATS CONTINUE DOMINANCE IN WIN OVER ALICE LLOYD

PIPPA PASSES, Ky. - The Brescia University men's basketball team extends their record to 7-4 overall and 4-3 in RSC play with their win over Alice Lloyd.

The Bearcats would win the tip in the face-off to start their game on the road. It wouldn't take long for the Bearcats to score as Javion Johnson would knock down a three pointer to give BU the lead. The Eagles would go on a 8-4 run before taking a time out after a Camden Pfeister three pointer. The Bearcats would start a full court press to pressure the Alice Lloyd offense to force the Eagles into turnovers. The #1 team in steals per game would continue to do what they do best as the Bearcats jump out to a 34-23 lead with eight minutes left in the first half off of turnovers. Nevin Graves would hit three three pointers in a row to extend the Bearcat lead to 18. Going into the half, the Bearcats held their longest lead of the season as raise the score to 54-35 over the Eagles. The turnovers seem to be the Eagles' demise as BU jumped out to a 30 point lead.

Newcomer, Jordan Brown, would make his appearance on the court and tab his first points as a Bearcat to extend the BU score, 82-51. Ultimately, the Bearcats would dominate on the floor against Alice Lloyd as they pick up the win 98-81.

Six Bearcats would hit double digit points as Tay Smith led with 19 and shooting 3-5 beyond the arc. Nevin Graves followed behind with 16 points while shooting 4-8 beyond the arc while Carrieun Mathis and Javion Johnson each tab 14 on the day.
