OWENSBORO, KY - The last home game of the season made for an exciting one as the Bearcats took on the conference defending champs, IU Kokomo. The contest ended in a 2-0 win for the Bearcats as they break the tying streak against the Cougars.

After a scoreless first half, the Bearcats drew first blood as a long ball played from the midfield into the box by Geneva Hann found Victoria Poon as she lasered it to the bottom left corner of the net. Taking the 1-0 advantage and running with it, the Bearcats found the back of the net again in the 68th minute off the foot of Duda Feres for the second and final goal as they take the win.

The Bearcats secured the sixth and final spot in conference to place them in contention for the RSC Championship.

The Bearcats head to Beckley, WV to take on the Golden Bears of WVU Tech this Saturday with a 12pm CT kickoff time.
