Women's Fall Conference Preview Tournament

The BU Ladies Golf Team competed this week in the Conference Preview Event held at the Belterra Golf Club in Florence IN. The Bearcats finished 5th in the 9 team field after yesterday's finakl round. Meredith Mayes lead the Lady Bearcats with a T-18 finish with scores of 89/83 on the soft and tricky layout at Belterra. Senior Brooklyn Spicer was close behind with rounds of 89/85. Madison Harding 86/92, Laurel Hotchkiss 96/90, and Emilee Clark with 96/95 round out the Lady Bearcat five some that competed the last two days.

Coach Cox is quoted" with soft conditions distance was an issue for us the last two days". "Being a shorter team off the tee our short game has to be on point and we showed flashes of it, however the course got us this time". We can take away alot of positives moving forward from this but as we move forward we must work even harder on our short game for us to be competitive in all conditions, just not ones that favor us.

The Lady Bearcats have a few days off before being back in competition in two week just outside Louisville KY.
