The Bearcats would start the first half strong talking a commanding 12-6 lead as they made their first six shots. The Golden Bears would start to battle back as they start to connect with the basket behind the arc to take their first lead of the day. Both teams would trade shots in the first half as back-to-back shots would give the Golden Bears a five-point lead. Cory Gardner would cut the lead to three on a made shot at the elbow going into the half.
BU would struggle the first five minutes in the second half as the Bearcats couldn't find the basket. The Golden Bears continued to tack on the points as they take a 14-point lead with 11 minutes to go. Turnovers would be the Bearcats' ultimate demise as the Golden Bears take a 21-point lead. The boys couldn't get the offense rolling as they drop the contest, 89-72.
Taeron Hogg led the team with 23 points and seven rebounds as Cory Gardner followed with 16 points, five assists, and four steals.
The Bearcats return home this Saturday to take on Alice Lloyd with a tip-off time of 3pm CT.
